tusday day 2

    The 1st stop was at the shatike creek two people spoke Jason Grant amd Austin Smith. Jason Grant talked about the restoration of shatike creek took6 weeks to complete and finished in 2009 . The damages from the 1964 flood afected animal food source and their habitat.They used old trees for the restoration project.This project was fundend BPA, 12 to 20 people check on the stream 3 to 4 times a year. shatike creek has indangered fish bull trout and steel head the fish and wildlife are trying to get rid  of brook. Coho salmon have returned shatike creek.Jason Grantis an on rezervation biologest . Austin Smith monitors mill deer and he is a wild life technician. There are currentley 53 colars out , they often loose mill deer to perdedors. In 2009 was the test fase, in 2010 they put more colars out soon after they lost 45 colars half  later that year they put out 15 more colars.At stop 3 we observed the water level and the small details to make the stream better.
